Level 1 Defensive Driving Awareness

The SaveFast Level 1 Awarded In Driving Theory (International) is a regionally specific course currently available in multiple languages, that allows you to update and train your driver on specific issues your organization faces on the road. Our Driving theory course is interactive and thought-provoking and provides your drivers with an insight into how their driving can be effective whilst driving for work as well as encouraging them to adopt a more positive attitude to driving attitudes.

Objective:

By the end of the course, the participants should:

  • Understand the reasons why a pre-journey vehicle check is required
  • Be able to conduct a pre-journey vehicle check
  • Be able to demonstrate safe driving techniques

  • Driver behaviour
  • Inappropriate speed
  • Fatigue, alcohol, drugs, and driving
  • Driver limitations and distraction
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Identifying prioritizing and dealing with hazards
  • Safe Systems of Vehicle Control
  • Reducing fuel consumption and maintenance costs
  • Safe low-speed maneuvering
  • Dealing with emergencies

There will be interactive discussion and Q&A throughout the session. There is a multiple-choice question paper, with 4 possible answers to each question. The questions and answers will be written using simple English to aid understanding. The assessment can also be delivered as a group exercise.
